Safecast Project

The project under the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union, in which Turkey Precast Concrete Association and Istanbul Technical University are partners, intends to make research on seismic safety of prefabricated column-beam joints. Emek Prefabrik, member of Turkey Precast Concrete Association, puts the obtained theoretical and experimental results into practice and uses them in the projects it carries out.
Joint Zones and Model Building Examined under the Safecast Project
The industrial building joint transferring momentum tested at ITU for the Safecast Project. (This joint is also implemented at Emek Prefabrik Company).
Details of equipments applied during the fixcast system in Emek Prefabrik. (Has been controlled at the revisioned tests of safecast project and the performance of the composition under seismic weight has been increased)

Safecladding Project

The Project under the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union, in which Turkey Precast Concrete Association and Istanbul Technical University are partners, examines the joints of the prefabricated front panels and conducts research on their seismic safety. The test specimens to be used in the experimental study under the project are produced in Emek Prefabrik Facilities. The developed front panel joints will bring innovative solutions to the industry.

ITU Prefabricated Column-Beam And Damping Shaking Table Tests

Dampers for industrial buildings, which are built-in from the base and jointed from the top, commonly used by Emek Prefabrik and other companies in the sector will be tested in scaled samples within the framework of the PhD thesis directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ercan YÜKSEL at Istanbul Technical University. For the first time, Turkey will carry out shaking table tests for industrial buildings which are built-in from the base and jointed from the top. 6 units of the prefabricated beam-column basic elements under the project were manufactured in Emek Prefabrik Facilities.
Test specimens and tests on shaking tables produced at Emek Prefabrik by which the seismic records to be carried out at ITU Structural and Earthquake Engineering Laboratory will be examined in terms of their impact on the prefabricated system.
Production stages of the prefabricated system that will be tested on shaking tables.
